Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry

Keystone Analytical, a PharmaNet subsidiary, offers ICP/MS instrumentation for analysis of metals in study samples. The instrumentation consists of an Agilent ICP/MS 7500ce equipped with a CETAC ASX-510 Random Access Intelligent Autosampler.

 

ICP/MS is currently considered to be the best technology available for analyzing trace elements and metals, even in complex matrices. ICP/MS analysis is commonly used in drug development for analyzing study samples from areas including oncology and imaging. These samples frequently contain metals such as platinum or gadolinium, that are quantifiable at part-per-billion levels by ICP/MS.
