| Challenges: | Large, international, open-label, expanded-access program that, at onset, required some subjects to travel great distances to obtain study drug since local clinics were not yet active in the study. Once local clinics became active, functionality was needed to allow a subject to transfer to the newly active local clinic. |
| Solutions: | New IVRS functionality was created to enable a site to transfer a subject from the remote clinic to a more convenient local clinic. Clinic personnel were able to perform these transfers without filling out cumbersome paperwork. Confirmation reports were sent to clinic personnel upon a successful transfer for documentation purposes. |
| Outcome: | PharmaNet IVRS provided an automated solution for clinics to perform transfer of subjects via IVRS, eliminating the need for assistance from support staff or manual transactions. |
